Three migrants jumped from a second storey window this morning to escape a fire in their room at the Marsa open centre, the police said. Two were seriously injured but the injuries of the other were slight.

The blaze was reported at about 4 a.m. in a room used by Somali migrants. It is believed to have been caused by an explosion of a gas appliance.

The blaze was controlled by firefighters of the Civil Protection Department.
