• The Cactus and Succulent Society will be holding its monthly meeting at the Din l-Art Ħelwa headquarters at 133, Melita Street, Valletta, today at 9.45 a.m. The talk, on the genus 'Turbinicarpus', will be illustrated with slides. Members and all those interested are welcome.

• The Mobile Blood Donation Unit will be available next to STC Training Centre, Pembroke, tomorrow from 8.30 a.m. till 1.30 p.m. Donors will be asked to present their ID cards.

• A fitness morning is being organized at Inspire, Marsascala, as a fundraising event tomorrow. Join in for yoga, aerobics, Zumba, spinning, kick aerobics and step aerobics. • Caritas Co-operators are organising a day out on Wednesday at Villa Arrigo, San Pawl tat-Tarġa, starting with coffee, tea and biscuits at 10.30 a.m., followed by a talk by Odette Vella on consumer affairs, Mass at noon and lunch at 1 p.m. Cards or any other game may be played. • The Diocesan Congress is being organised by the Secretariat for the Laity at Gattard House, Blata l-Bajda, on Thursday and Friday, from 6.30 to 8.30 p.m. The theme for the congress will be 'The collaboration and co-responsibility between priests and the laity in the mission of the Church'. Archbishop Paul Cremona will preside.

• The next public meeting for members of the ADHD family support group is going to be its annual general meeting and will be held at Junior College, Msida, on Friday from 6.30 p.m. There will be a talk by Paula Doumanov about the services that Inspire offer during the summer months. There will be PSD teachers for the older ADHD children but no child minders for children under six. The library will open at 6 p.m.

• The Marian Movement is holding a cenacle on Saturday to mark on the feast of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, immediately following Mass which will be celebrated at 5.30 p.m. at St Joseph's School, Blata l-bajda. Everybody is invited to attend.

• A prayer meeting will be held on Saturday to pray for the sanctification of priests and for priestly and religious vocations at St Bartholomew parish church, Għargħur, starting with Mass at 9.45 p.m., followed by adoration till midnight. All are invited to attend.

• The Malta Hospice Movement is holding two fundraising events on July 14 and September 10. The first is a barbecue at the Grand Hotel Excelsior and the second is a midnight walk in Buġibba. For more information, call 2144 0085 or visit www.hospicemalta.org.

• An evening of prayer for peace and new evangelisation of the world will be held on June 16 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Madonna tal-Ħerba church, Birkirkara, comprising Mass followed by 20 minutes of adoration. Everyone is invited to attend this activity organised by the International Movement of Prayer Blessed Pope John XXIII.

• A buffet lunch is being organised in aid of the Pontifical Missions Office of 7, Merchant Street, Valletta, at the Topaz Hotel, Buġibba, on June 20 at 12.30 p.m. Tickets cost €16 for adults and €8 for children under 10. For bookings, call 2123 6962 until June 18. Tickets are available at the Missions Office and at the door. After lunch, a raffle with a number of prizes will be organised in aid of the missions.

• St Venera Scout Group will be celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. To commemorate this, a reunion for all former members will be held at the group's headquarters on September 18.
