The staff welfare committee of First United Insurance Group recently presented Inspire chief executive officer Nathan Farrugia with €1,600.

The money will be used for Inspire's yearly summer school programme. The programme offers a safe and inclusive environment for children, enabling them to learn, interact and develop their skills together, irrespective of their ability, through a number of fun and educational activities.

"First United takes its corporate responsibilities very seriously by actively supporting charities," said manager Jean Portelli. "I feel our contributions and close friendship with Inspire reflect our collective awareness to help those people with disabilities."

Mr Farrugia said "the generosity which First United's staff has shown over the years is a clear indication that they support the tremendous benefits which Inspire offers on a national level for people with disabilities".
