This year's Olympic Day Run, a traditional event that marks the creation of the International Olympic Committee way back in 1894, will be held on June 27.

The Olympic Day Run has developed into the only worldwide celebration of the Olympic Day and helps to spread the Olympic ideals to every corner of the globe.

In Malta, the 2010 run will follow the same routes as last year in Buġibba.

Again, the Maltese Olympic Committee will be teaming up with McDonald's and Athletics Malta to organise the race. Participation is free of charge.

An official Olympic Day Run IOC Certificate, signed by IOC president Jacques Rogge, will be given to all participants. Applications are available from all McDonald's outlets and from the offices of the MOC.
