Suspended jail term for hoax call

A man who called the police claiming there was a bomb in a Gozitan factory was yesterday given a suspended jail term.

Ryan Grech, 22, from Victoria admitted to making the hoax call with regard to the factory in Xewkija on May 25 and filing a false police report.

He also admitted to causing public alarm.

Magistrate Edwina Grima handed down a six month jail term suspended for two years.
