Allan Galea, the man accused of the murder of Twanny Borg (Il-Bona) was granted bail by a court this afternoon after a magistrate concluded the hearing of witnesses.

Defence counsel Joseph Giglio said he had not insisted on bail earlier because his client feared for his life.

Bail was granted against a personal guarantee of €13,000 and a deposit of €10,000.

Twanny Borg was stabbed in Marsaxlokk last February.
