@Salvu Micallef Why were all the bottles gathered up a month before the analysis received by email??

@ Health Dept.
@ Salvu Micallef well said - I quote: '...The analaziz recieved this morning by email over one month after we stop sell... '
Q: Why did it take so long to submit the analytical data?
From what I read it seems common practice for food stuffs to be sold to customers before results from analysis are issued.
This is not good practice. Action please before it will be too late
Q: Are these products accompanied by a certificate of analysis from each manufacturer?
Q: What type of sampling regime is used for testing by the manufacturer?
Q: Is a representative sample taken from the whole batch during blending and filling?
Q: Are records available ? Are they supplied to the health authority?
Q: Does the manufacturer comply with importation requirements? Is certification issued?
Q: In some cases , is the manufacturer audited?
Better control is needed over items consumed by humans.
As for analysis , it will be much better to perform and finalise analysis prior to dispatching the goods to various retail outlets.
Consumers must not take any form of risk when purchasing .
Finally ...Who will be kept responsible if, God forbid, something serious happens?

Why aren't samples checked before importation and then random sampling on every shipment carried out?

Do you know how much it costs to do such tests?? These companies have their own quality assurance and it is their duty to assure that there is no foreign particles or anything else inside the bottle. Despite these tests still some batches could slip from the samples they have analyzed. These tests are based on statistics .. which isn't 100% perfect. If companies checked and tested each and every bottle either it's cost would rise up, or few production will be made !

So why doesn't the Health Department order the withdrawal of the product in question from the retailers?
