Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi was among those who visited the open weekend being held at the Mcast Institute of Agribusiness at Luqa Road in Qormi.
The initiative is intended to provide prospective students and their parents with a clear idea of the various learning and training opportunities and resources available.
Activities include environmental management sessions and guided tours to the animal husbandry units and cultivated fields.
Career guidance officers are also available to provide information on Mcast courses.
Several products are on sale and pet owners are encouraged to take their pets over for free grooming. Entrance is free and childcare activities are being organised. The institute is open today from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
