Maria Regina College recently launched a project directly involving students and teachers of Year 5 classes.

In line with its networking philosophy, Maria Regina College invited four other colleges to take part in the project: St Clare College, St Benedict College, St Nicholas College and St Thomas More College.

Teachers and students worked together on interactive Powerpoint presentations, which covered topics from the Year 5 Social Studies syllabus. These presentations were collated onto CD.

The launch of this CD was held at Maria Regina College, St Paul's Bay Primary. During the launch, college principal Mario Testa explained the aim was for teachers and students from different localities to work together and produce effective and innovative resources which can be shared by all.

Grace Grima, director general for Quality and Standards within the Directorate for Education, praised this initiative and encouraged other similar projects.
