Philip Toledo appoints CEO

ICT solutions company Philip Toledo Ltd (PTL) recently appointed David Catania as its first chief executive officer.

"This strategic appointment consolidates the company's achievements over the past 64 years," said chairman Peter Toledo. "Now that the country is emerging from the economic crisis, we are embarking on a new strategy set to capitalise on our market-leading position in several areas, preparing ourselves for future challenges and opportunities."

Mr Catania is a seasoned executive with a background of 25 years in the local ICT industry. A Henley Management College MBA graduate, he has a strong track record of strategic leadership, making a significant contribution to PTL's growth over recent years, particularly in the areas of vertical software solutions and consultancy. He is also chairman of STC Training, an ICT training institution.

PTL has strategic relationships with global organisations such as IBM, Cisco, Microsoft, NCR, Open Text, Red Hat, Access Group and Retail Pro. It also specialises in bespoke software development and networking infrastructure.

Furthermore, the company has decades of experience in the supply and implementation of surveillance and anti-theft solutions promoting Chubb Safes, Guardall, Cash Tester, 3X Logic and CISA, among others.
