A drunken 24-year-old Briton yesterday admitted to attacking a hotel security guard in Qawra on Tuesday evening.
Ayron Henshaw walked into the hotel at about 8 p.m. in a drunken state and got into an argument with Ronnie Borg, who works as a security guard at the Qawra Palace Hotel. He punched him in the face and neck. The police were called in and he attacked them too.
Mr Henshaw pleaded guilty to slightly injuring Mr Borg, breaching the peace, violently resisting the police and swearing in public.
Magistrate Lawrence Quintano handed down a three month jail term suspended for one year after he took into consideration the early guilty plea.
