This is just shameful. how many of these cases ended up in court and what was the outcome? I am convinced that if i had to get across some similar episode, and end up in a scuffle with the beater i would be convicted and he would walk out of the courts free... after all it's not self defence.

I wonder if the Bishops will declare whether these offenders can receive the holly communion according to the Church. I have never seen a statement as such.

Maybe the Bishop will say nothing about the holy communion because they are married.

How many of the cases involved the throwing of domestic objects, like plates for example?

Is there violence against children that is not criminal?

It's not the number that counts, but how many are correctly followed by the police authorities and the courts. I know of one that has been unbelievably disregarded completely.

And I personally know of a case where a very serious complaint made by a person against another was reported to the Police about a year ago but still needs to be heard in court despite the fact that the Tahrika was issued about seven long months ago!
For, following a Bomb Warning at the Law Courts last April, all the cases scheduled to be heard on a particular day were summarily postponed to another date .....in November!
How's that for Court Reform?
