The Malta FA yesterday effected a number of changes to the remaining list of fixtures for the current season.
The Premier League third place play-off, between Qormi and Sliema Wanderers, which was originally scheduled for Monday evening at the National Stadium, has been put back 24 hours and will now be played on Tuesday at the same venue. Kick-off will be at 7.30 p.m.
The final of the Quick Keno Second and Third Division KO, between Għargħur and newly-crowned Division Three champions Żejtun Corinthians, will now be played on Friday at the Victor Tedesco Stadium, starting at 7.30 p.m.
There was a change of venue for the two semi-finals from the women's knock-out. These two matches will be played on Friday at the Centenary Stadium, starting at 6.30 and 8.30 p.m.
Meanwhile, the Malta FA also announced that the International Challenge Trophy match for U-23 teams between Malta and Romania, postponed from April because of the visiting team's travelling difficulties due to the Iceland volcanic ash problem, will be played on October 20.
This arrangement was made after the Romania FA accepted the MFA's proposal of a new date.
The group match will be the last after Malta had lost at home to Italy 3-1, and 1-0 away to Belgium.
