A Serb in Malta illegally was this morning jailed for six months, suspended for 18, after he tried to leave Malta for his country to visit his sick father with a forged Schengen visa sticker.

Petrovic Milos, 27, admitted he had stuck a forged Schengen visa on his passport to avoid questions about his stay in Malta on his way out of the island. His visa for Malta expired a number of years ago.
