In the first four months of this year the police caught 74 youths under the age of 17 in entertainment places selling alcohol, and where therefore they should not have been.

Giving details in reply to a parliamentary question by Carmelo Abela (PL), Home Affairs Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici said 23 had been caught in St Julians, Marsascala and Birżebbuġa in January, 15 in St Julians, Gżira, Sliema and Valletta in February, 24 in St Julians, Mosta and Rabat in March and 12 in St Julians in April.

The police are taking court action against the 43 owners of the establishments where the young people were caught.
