Thanks to the generous Charity Day contributors

On behalf of Central Office Ejjew Għandi (Children's Homes), I would like to thank the ad hoc committee of the Church Secretariat for Social and Charitable Action (Caritas Malta Council) for organising once again this year's Charity Day, which was celebrated on Sunday, January 22.

The staff at Central Office, the administrators, religious and lay, of all Church residential homes for children in difficulty, the child day-care centres and the shelters for domestic violence are very grateful to the College of Parish Priests, its council, the rectors of filial churches and other places of worship for encouraging their congregations to contribute generously during this annual collection.

A big thank you naturally goes to all those who offered their financial support and those who helped in kind.

I also thank the public relations office of the Archbishop's Curia and the media in general who went out of their way and promoted this event by publishing editorials and articles in the print media and held discussion programmes on radio and television.

Naturally a word of gratitude goes to those who contributed in these initiatives.

God will never forget your generous input.
