Thea Garrett impressed Eurovision song festival fans and delegations in Oslo this weekend as she spent her time socialising at parties, greeting fans and making friends with other participants and the press.

Whoever met her commented about her magnetic personality, which has blossomed over the past days as she forgot about the hassles back home and started enjoying herself.

The highlight of the weekend was when she sang a heartfelt duet from the timeless musical Phantom of the Opera with Polish representative Marcin Mrozinski.

Marcin, 24, heard Thea warming up her voice and asked her to sing with him.

During the Polish party on Saturday night, they gave a magical rendition of All I Ask Of You. They spent most of the evening together, laughing, dancing and taking photos with fans, as if they were best of friends.

Marcin had huge words of praise for Thea, and invited her to audition for a part in Les Miserables, which will soon open in Poland with him starring in it.

"Thea is amazing. I love her so much. Vocally she's perfect." He said Malta's song was definitely one of the best in the competition and urged his compatriots to vote for Malta.

Thea did not go as far as to urge the Maltese to vote for the Pole and played down speculation that she had found her Mac Dreamy. "We are just friends and that's how we will remain," she said. She did confess later. however, that he had "beautiful green eyes".

On Saturday night, she gave an impromptu performance of her song at the nightclub dedicated to all those involved in the Eurovision, where she received a big welcome.

Today, full dress rehearsals will begin, allowing the Maltese to get a glimpse of the dress that Thea has kept hidden for the past days.
