The Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Educational Research (EMCER) at University will again be offering its Master of Arts in Comparative Euro-Mediterranean Education Studies. The course will start in October, and run part-time, with four-hour sessions once a week.
The MA is aimed at high-achieving students who wish to develop skills in analysing educational policies being developed in the EU and in the Mediterranean.
The MA offers a balance between coursework and research, and students have the opportunity to join a dissertation research group focusing on a policy-related topic of special relevance to Malta, with a view to comparing it to policy developments and achievements in the EU.
Further information - including course regulations and study unit outlines - can be downloaded from the EMCER website at: www.um.edu.mt/emcer.
Online applications can be made at: www.um.edu.mt/registrar/students/applyonline.
If there is enough demand, the course may also be wholly or partly offered in Gozo, through the University's Gozo Centre.
Interested candidates are invited to e-mail course leader, Prof. Ronald Sultana (ronald.sultana@um.edu.mt), indicating their motivation and interest.
A meeting will be held on Thursday at 5 p.m. at the University to respond to queries of eligible candidates. Course places are limited.
