Portman International offers summer work for students

Portman International is making a number of summer placements available to students interested in gaining valuable career development experience in their field of study.

Final-year Law and B.Com students, ACCA candidates and young people looking to experience the day-to-day activities within a trust and corporate services provider during the summer are invited to express their interest.

Through the placements, students will experience the professional corporate environment while applying and using theoretical knowledge gained throughout their course of studies. The students will be exposed to corporate services duties, including legal and regulatory procedures, accounting, taxation and VAT, mostly in relation to international clients.

Employing 80 professionals in Malta, London and Dublin, Portman International is a provider of professional, fiduciary and trading support services to international clients. The core services of the company are the formation and administration of companies, partnerships and trusts, accounting, taxation, advisory and assisting clients to meet their legal, statutory and commercial objectives.

"Students participating in these summer placements can enhance their own CV while allowing employers to get to know upcoming professionals who are about to enter the labour force," said managing director David Marinelli said.

Portman International is based in Malta supported by two other offices located in the heart of London and Dublin.
