Obituary

GAUCI. On May 18, at Mater Dei Hospital, JOSEPH, proprietor of Jupiter and Grape Vine, aged 57, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his great loss his wife Veronica, née Camilleri, his children Farquher, Teofania, Kardwen and Rianon, his mother Maria, née Bonavia, his sister Antoinette and her husband Magistrate Lawrence Quintano, his brother Raymond and his wife Carmen and his sister Marcon and her husband Joseph Lanzon, his father-in-law Joe Camilleri and his wife Alexandra, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral Mass will be said today at 4 p.m. at Maria Bambina parish church, Naxxar, followed by interment at Naxxar cemetery. Donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.

MICELI. On May 19, at Dar Sant' Anna, Senglea, MARIANNA of Paola, aged 94, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters Julie, wife of Samuel Chetcuti, Jane, widow of Silvio Attard, Victoria, wife of Nunzio Murabito of Catania, her sister Teresa, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Dar Sant' Anna today at 2 p.m. for Maria Bambina Basilica, Senglea, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar Sant' Anna will be greatly appreciated. The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.

MUSCAT - VIOLET, née Vella, widow of Vincent, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, on May 18, at Casa Leone, St Julians, aged 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep. She leaves to mourn her irreparable loss her children Marthese, widow of Albert Tabone, Joseph and his wife Mariella née Bonnici; grandchildren Claire and her husband John Muscat, Ian, Julian, Krista and her fiancé Christopher, Anthea and her husband Gawain DeBono, and Adam, her great-grandchildren Pierre, Paige, Jacques and Seth. The funeral leaves Casa Leone, St Julians, tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for St Publius parish church, Floriana, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9 a.m., followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the management and staff of Casa Leone for their dedicated care and attention. PACE. On May 18, at Mater Dei Hospital, ANTOINETTE, nèe Tabone Ferro, aged 67, of Sliema, residing in Pembroke, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church, three days before her 46th wedding anniversary. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband John, her son Ray and his wife Marie Therese, her daughter Joanna and her husband Silvan Mifsud, her grandchildren Marc Edward, Maria Chiara and Mariella Pia, her brother Richard and his wife Josephine, her sister Doris and her husband Alfred Camenzuli, her in-laws Imelda and Edward, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.30 p.m. for the Immaculate Mary Mother of the Church parish church, Ta' l-Ibrag where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2 p.m. followed by interment at the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Hospice Movement, Puttinu Cares Foundation and Radju Maria will be appreciated. Lord, Grant her eternal rest.

French Institute conference
