Labour leader Joseph Muscat said this afternoon that he still had to hear one government politician shouldering responsibiity for the decisions taken with regard to the Delimara power station extension.
Reacting to the admission made last night by David Spiteri Gingell that he had made a mistake in not vetting Lahmeyer International before it was appointed a consultant by Enemalta to examine the power station bids, Dr Muscat said that what interested him was political responsibility.
Mr Spiteri Gingell was the chairman of the project adjudicating committee.
"I want to see who among the government politicians will shoulder responsibility, " Dr Muscat said when asked.
The only thing he had heard, Dr Muscat added, was the Prime Minister defending the project all the way.
Mepa is due to discuss and decide on the full development permit for the power station extension on Thursday.
