I must congratulate Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti for the most wonderful exhibition they have put together to commemorate one of the greatest Maltese artists, Edward Caruana Dingli. His work shines through like a beacon; it vividly records important people, events and places for posterity.

His portraits are alive. One could very easily imagine being in the company of the many distinguished members of society. The detail is extraordinary. Jewellery, clothing, hair styles etc. are a record of our social history.

I will go so far as to say that this exhibition is probably one of the best ever held on our beautiful island. I encourage every resident of these islands to make sure they do not miss the opportunity to visit as such a magnificent collection can only happen once in a life time.
