Winter Moods announce summer concert
Malta’s most popular band, Winter Moods, will be holding a mega concert this summer as part of celebrations to mark the launch of its new album. This was announced at a press conference held earlier today by Winter Moods and Nigel Camilleri on behalf of NnG Promotions, who are organising the event on the 28th July at The Granaries in Floriana.
Winter Moods has produced some of the most popular songs in Malta, which went on to become classics. It also etched its name in Maltese music history with a concert at Valletta Waterfront in 2008 which attracted a record-breaking crowd of over 7,500 people.
“The Waterfront concert represented a major milestone in the history of Maltese music and the whole band was thrilled with the love and the support that our fans have consistently shown. This year we have another gift in store for our loyal fans. During the concert we will be playing both new material from our latest album such as Last To Know and My Neverland and classics like Everyday Song and Marigold, which have become favourites with the Maltese,” said Ivan Grech.
This year, Winter Moods are celebrating their 25th anniversary and will be launching their 5th CD album, titled Argento, later on this week. Argento includes the two hit singles My Neverland and Last To Know, which have already topped the Maltese charts.
“Winter Moods are Malta's top selling artists and their concerts have always attracted the biggest crowds in terms of local music performances. The band has consistently topped the charts and won a string of awards and we are happy to work with them once again. The 2008 concert was attended by the largest paying crowd for a Maltese band and we look forward to re-creating that magic this summer,” said Nigel Camilleri for NnG Promotions.
Originating from Senglea, Winter Moods have their roots and influences in rock music. Over the years their music evolved into some of the most loved melodies on the island and their discography includes classic hits such as Marigold, Everyday Song, Come To You, Sarah and many others.
