A prison inmate was jailed for a further four months after he pleaded guilty to buying a mobile phone he knew had been stolen.

Aaron Agius, 27, pleaded guilty before Magistrate Saviour Demicoli to buying the stolen Nokia phone, worth about €200, in November.

He also admitted to handling stolen items and relapsing.
