Creative thinking seems to get you somewhere nowadays. This was proven in Parliament on Thursday, May 6. Tonio Borg did a lot of spontaneous creative thinking when faced with a lost result of the vote on the Labour motion on the controversial Delimara power station extension. He decided to be creative with the interpretation of Justyne Caruana's vote. He decided to instil uncertainty.

Maybe it was a silly thing to do because many things can go wrong with such an action, such as amplified playback of the recording and declarations under oath. The government might have got what it wanted on paper but in people's mind and hearts one thing will be remembered. It is a pity that these tricks are played in Malta's highest institution.

It is condemnable that of all opposition MPs, Dr Borg decided to play this dirty trick on a pregnant woman, in such an emotional and delicate situation.
