Hundreds of people lined the Valletta ring road today to see classic cars being put through their paces in the final day of the Valletta grand prix.

The classic cars raced against the clock around the formidable bastions of Valletta, happily with no incident. A 1950s C- type Jaguar was damaged when it crashed spectacularly yesterday near the Excelsior Hotel. No one was injured, but participants complained that the road surfaces gave them poor grip.
