President walking, in good spirits - Margaret Abela
President George Abela is walking but needs plenty of rest and physiotherapy, his wife Margaret Abela said in comments this morning.
She said that Dr Abela was in high spirits and was trying to work from his bed as best he could with the assistance of his staff.
Dr Abela was discharged from hospital yesterday and is recovering at San Anton Palace. He was not present at Mass at San Anton this morning.

It is no surprise that President George Abela walks in good spirit, because he constantly walks with God's Spirit. God Bless Our President.

Very happy to hear that President Abela is recovering quickly. It would be great if he could in some way intervene and try and get together Maltese of different political creeds, lest we go back to the old days of intolerance. Both political parties would do well not to incite their supporters one against the other, although understandably at times this is very difficult.

Good news from The Palace. George Abela is a workaholic and the only advice I can give him, from painful experience, is not to overdo it and to take things one at a time. Meanwhile, welcome back Mr President
