Melita launches early bird HD offers

Under its high-definition TV introductory offer, Melita is offering free installation of the its netbox HD and is waiving the monthly €10 rental fee for the box until October 1.

Current Melita digital subscribers can continue to use their existing digital set-top box on another TV set for free until December 31.

Melita's XL television subscribers will have access to 10 free new HD channels. Melita is showcasing the new netbox HD and HD channels in its stores.

To celebrate the launch of Melita HD, Melita and Emirates Airlines are offering a return trip to the World Cup final in South Africa, including flights, accommodation and two Category 1 final match tickets as the main prize of a competition open to all new Melita HD customers who subscribe by May 30.

The second and third prizes are two packages to Dubai and two packages to Cyprus, inclusive of Emirates flight tickets, taxes, four nights' accommodation and transfers.

For the first time ever, Melita and PBS have also agreed to share broadcasting rights for the 2010 Fifa World Cup, with Melita providing live broadcasts of all 64 World Cup matches in both high and standard definition with English commentary. All games of the Italian national team will have a live Italian commentary.
