Maltese referees Ivan Sciriha and Massimo Angileri have been appointed by the Aquatic Sport Association and Italy's waterpolo federation FIN to control matches from the Serie A2 championship in Sicily this weekend.

Today, Sciriha will be in Siracusa for the match between CC Ortigia and CC Napoli while Angileri will officiate SC Acicastello-Aquachaira in Catania.

Maltese referees are currently engaged by FIN to control some of their league matches following a protocol signed earlier this year.

In another joint initiative this week, Italy coach Sandro Campagna and FINA Technical Waterpolo Committee chairman Gianni Lonzi were here to conduct a seminar.
