President Abela discharged from hospital

President George Abela was discharged from Mater Dei Hospital this afternoon and is recovering at San Anton Palace, his Office has announced.
It said that the President had been advised to rest and continue with treatment for another four weeks.
The President and Mrs Abela thanked the medical teams and staff at Mater Dei and the many people who expressed best wishes.
President Abela was injured in a fall in his hotel in Shanghai just over a week ago, hurting his back.
