PM at eurozone meeting

Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi is in Brussels for an informal heads of government meeting of eurozone countries, the DOI said.

He is accompanied by Ambassador Richard Cachia Caruana, Malta's Permanent Representative to the EU, and Leonard Callus, deputy head of the Prime Minister's Secretariat.

Dr Gonzi is expected back tonight.

Meanwhile, Parliament on Monday will debate a Bill for Malta to lend €27 million to Greece as part of the EU-IMF rescue package to that country.
