PM at eurozone meeting
Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi is in Brussels for an informal heads of government meeting of eurozone countries, the DOI said.
He is accompanied by Ambassador Richard Cachia Caruana, Malta's Permanent Representative to the EU, and Leonard Callus, deputy head of the Prime Minister's Secretariat.
Dr Gonzi is expected back tonight.
Meanwhile, Parliament on Monday will debate a Bill for Malta to lend €27 million to Greece as part of the EU-IMF rescue package to that country.

Jekk ma tafux, din tal-Grecja mhux se tkun l-unika krizi fejn Malta bhala pajjiz fil-eurozone ser ikollha tghin biex jithallas id-dejn li sar. Jekk ma tafux, hemm hafna pajjizi ohra li nefqu bl-addocc fl-ahhar snin u li issa jridu min jghinhom. Fost dawn hemm r-Renju Unit, Portugal, Spanja, l-Irlanda u forsi l-Italja. Min jaf x gej ghalina meta wiehed iqis li Spanja per ezempju ghanda 280 BILJUN euro dejn li jrid jithallas fit-3 snn li gejjin u l-Grecja mhux ser ikunu l-110 BILJUN li gw maqbula mill-eurozone countries ghax realment ghandha 150 BILJUN euro.... u sadanittant Gonzi jrid jonfoq 80 miljun f tijatru bla saqaf u parlament gdid.... tal-genn FEJNHOM IL-PAR IDEJN SODI????????????

If I were Dr. Muscat I would refrain from going to parliament on Monday and leave it to Dr. Gonzi to decide on whether to raise money from us maltese to give to Greece. Do not let him use you as bait on these very hot issues. He got us into this murky club of the Eurozone so let him take full and sole responsibility. Dr. Muscat AQLIEH F'ZEJTU ghax mhux politikament ragel dan il- bniedem. Min iwieghed mod u jaghmel iehor, min bil-malti ta missierijietna jurik id-dhebba u jqabzek il-hmara ma tistax tafdah.
