A hawker was fined €2,100 after he admitted to selling fake Dolce e Gabbana and Chanel clothes.

Charles Sammut, 42, of Guardamangia pleaded guilty to selling the items and breaching international trademark rights.

He also pleaded guilty to ­relapsing.

Magistrate Laurence Quintano noted Mr Sammut’s early guilty plea and fined him €2,100. He also ordered the destruction of the counterfeit clothes.
