195 persons have been taken to court since 2006 and accused of corruption of minors, Justice and Home Affairs Minister Carm Mifsud Bonnici told parliament this evening.

Last year saw, by far, the highest number of arraignments - with 60 people being charged and 20 being convicted. The remaining cases are still before the courts.

In contrast, in 2008 there were 42 arraignments and 20 convictions.
