Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi this afternoon launched the Nationalist Party’s new mobile telephone service Ping with a call to his wife Kate.

Launching the new service, Dr Gonzi said this was an additional means of communication for the party. It would also be a source of income.

Calls on the new service, which is using the Go platform, will cost 14c per minute to Ping, 16c per minute to fixed lines and 28c per minute to other mobile networks.

SMS to Ping will cost 4c and to other networks 5c.
