Microsoft Malta recently participated in the e-Skills Fair, organised by the Malta Information Technology Agency (MITA), at the Grand Hotel Excelsior, Floriana.
The e-Skills Fair aims to raise awareness of the growing demand for highly skilled ICT practitioners and users within the general public and the industry. It is part of an initiative by the European Commission's DG Enterprise and Industry the first European e-Skills Campaign.
Fiorella Ellul Sullivan, Microsoft Citizenship Lead for Malta and Cyprus said: "Our participation at this e-Skills Fair is a follow up to the Innovation in Education event we organised in January, which addressed educators about global innovative educational practices as well as the future of work and the skill requirements demanded by the knowledge-economy."
Microsoft will be hosting a day event on May 13. This event, which will address students at Mcast and University, business startups, and educational and government executives, will discuss the major opportunities and support that Microsoft is delivering through such programmes as BizSpark, Imagine Cup, DreamSpark, and its CTLC initiatives.
