The sixth World Gambling Briefing (WGB) was held for the first time in Malta last month at the Hilton in St Julian's, with the support of CSB Group and Zammit and Associates - Advocates.

The WGB is an important event on the international industry calendar, bringing together regulators, operators and service providers discussing key issues relating to the industry.

Finance Minister Tonio Fenech inaugurated the conference, saying that when compared to other jurisdictions Malta fared favour-ably because of its seriousness in its regulatory approach, business-friendly measures, talent, cost of labour and disposition of embracing technology and financial attractiveness.

The most discussed topic within the two-day conference was the application of the EU principles of provision for the free movements of services to the iGaming industry. Another interesting topic responsible gaming.

Key gaming operators spoke on the improved technology used to enhance responsible gaming and stressed that responsible gaming is crucial and ensuring player protection enhances the industry's reputation and integrity. They also encouraged fellow operators to embrace a more dedicated and effective commitment to this key issue.

CSB Group offers a one-stop-shop service to online gaming operators by assisting in setting up or re-locating their gaming operation to Malta.

Michael Zammit, CSB Group chief executive officer, said, "CSB Group and Zammit and Associates - Advocates will keep backing events like the WGB 2010, as these provided an opportunity for gaming operators to visit Malta and learn more about the Maltese iGaming Industry."

The group also offers key official services, corporate and fiduciary services, regulatory consultancy and management services, accountancy and payroll services, and recruitment services.
