Grand Harbour Marina plc has submitted a tender in association with Camper and Nicholson's Marinas International for the redevelopment and operation of the Rhodes Mandraki marina.
The marina project, on a 50-year concession, will involve the renovation and extension of the existing facilities to world-class standards. Higher standards and increased levels of business will bring benefit to the local community.
There is a strong historical link between Rhodes and Grand Harbour Marina as both marinas are bordered by the fortifications of the Knights of St John.
The tender decision is expected within this year.
Camper and Nicholson's is widely recognised as one of the world's oldest and most prestigious yachting business names, with origins dating to 1782 when boat-building began at Gosport, in southern England.
Recently, Camper and Nicholson's relocated its global headquarters to the Treasury building within Grand Harbour Marina.
