The Times reported that Victoria Gate in Valletta was undergoing intense restoration on September 2, 2009. Today, the work is still going on, much to the inconvenience of many, especially nearby residents and the small businesses that lie along Liesse Hill.

For the past six months, the uncovered works have been causing major air pollution, while parking spaces have been cut down drastically to make space for roadworks. One would appreciate if the Resources Minister could indicate the timelines of this project.

Additionally, following the absurd vandalism on trees in Mellieħa, one would ask what is the fate of the two old trees that were removed from in front of Victoria Gate? Were they re-planted?
