It is indeed regrettable that Bianca Zammit was injured while participating with the Palestinians. However, Ms Zammit must have known that these protests are dangerous and often lead to violence when one side provokes the other. Many are singling out Israel for condemnation as if the Palestinians were the good guys in this ageless conflict. Both sides have contributed to various degrees to this conflict. The fact is that the Palestinians in the Gaza strip are governed by an organisation that has vowed to destroy Israel.

Put yourself in the shoes of the Israelis. How would you react if someone swore to destroy you?

Choosing one side to the exclusion of the other side is wrong, Ms Zammit. Moviment Graffitti is also picking sides.

I agree that the Palestinians are entitled to fundamental human rights as Graffiti commented.

But so are the Jews who have to endure constant rocket and terrorist attacks. If these organisations want to really help, they shouldn't be picking sides.

It would be better if they promoted discussion between the two sides because nothing will get resolved if only one side is willing to negotiate and to make concessions.
