A team of shooters from the Malta Shooting Sport Federation (MSSF) are currently undergoing a training camp in Italy.

Trap shooters George Cassar, Nicky Carabott, Steve Vella, Frank Scorfna and Jason J. Aquilina are accompanied by MSSF president Saviour Portelli, secretary Carmel Cascun and coach Jimmy Bugeja.

The MSSF members are training at The Umbriaverde shooting facilities which comprise six Olympic layouts.

In a statement, the MSSF said this training camp should boost the preparations of its shooters for the ISSF World Cup in Dorset, Great Britain, next month.

During their stay in Italy, the MSSF officials will also have discussions about future co-operation with Luciano Rossi, the president of the Italian shooting association (FITAV), and the Italian national squad ahead of their participation in the Malta International Double Trap GP in June.
