Railway takes pride of place in model engineers' exhibition

A number of new miniature reproductions will be on display at the Association of Model Engineers' annual exhibition, which opens at the scouts headquarters in Floriana tomorrow.

A working railway layout will be mounted and visitors will have the opportunity to observe the details of both the static and the working models.

Set up in 1983, the AME is a non-profit making, non-ideological association consisting of persons who have a special interest in model engineering and scale modelling. It helps members improve standards in the achievement of excellence in their field. Members participate and compete on a regular basis in international model competitions and exhibitions abroad.

More information about AME can be found at www.a-m-e.org and on Facebook - Association of Model Engineers.

The exhibition, open to the public until May 9 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., is sponsored by Bank of Valletta and Air Malta.

Entrance is free.
