I refer to the letter Better Location For Luqa Structure (April 20), which talks of an "inscription" to be found at the base of the structure.

By a strange coincidence, many years ago I had written a letter to The Times in which I had written that an old Roman grave had been discovered, I don't remember where, and inside it a piece of pottery had been recovered on which was inscribed Iti sapis potanda bigone.

The writer of April 20 must have read my letter of long ago and adapted it to the inscription on the Luqa structure.
