Air Malta adopts unfair pricing policies with some of its one-way basic fares. Specifically: Malta-Prague-Malta costs €88 basic on flight KM0538, and another €88 basic coming back (plus taxes).
However, if one takes the same outgoing flight KM0538 and returns on Air Malta flight KM2871 from Dresden instead of Prague, one is charged €102 instead of €88 for KM0538. Why is this? The Dresden-Malta basic fare of €102 is not increased, so why doesn't Air Malta adopt the same policy for the Malta-Prague flight? When an outgoing flight and a return flight are both Air Malta, their basic fares should not be increased. Why does Air Malta keep charging us left, right and centre even in the face of fierce competition from Ryanair and co.?
