The landmark clock tower at Mtarfa was handed over to the local council yesterday, the latest in a series of devolutions by the Land Department. Responsibility for the clock tower, built in 1895, will now be shouldered by Mtarfa council, which is expected to undertake all the necessary maintenance and restoration work on it in view of opening it for the public to enjoy.
