The Alliance Francaise de Malte - Méditerranée recently elected its new administration council, with David Raphael Busuttil as president, Charles Xuereb as vice-president, Daniela Coppini as general secretary, Odette Vella as treasurer and Christiane Galea and Claire Rizzo as council members.

The Alliance in Floriana is one of the oldest in a network of over 1,200 worldwide.

Besides being a centre for the promotion of French culture, the Alliance Francaise de Malte - Méditerranée has been instrumental in the teaching of French in Malta.
