Bank of Valletta is supporting the English Speaking Union of Malta. ESU Malta president Martin Scicluna and education and administration director Richard Whale greeted BoV head of marketing Edward Muscat Azzopardi during the first session of the 'English in Action' programme held at ESU Malta's offices in Sliema.
"The bank supports numerous educational initiatives aimed at promoting excellence in various fields of study and research," said Mr Muscat Azzopardi. "BoV is proud to be associated with this initiative that promotes spoken English. It is encouraging to note there is already a strong demand for this programme and we augur ESU's initiative in Malta achieves the success it enjoys in all the other countries it has been established."
The ESU is an international educational charity dedicated to promoting international understanding and human achievement through English. It was launched at the end of World War I with the aim of promoting closer ties between the English-speaking peoples. Since then it has grown into a worldwide organisation, operating in more than 57 countries, creating international understanding through the use of the English language.
