Vodafone invests €12m for fastest network
Vodafone is now operating on an environment-friendly network that is 20 per cent more efficient.
Vodafone has invested €12 million to upgrade its network to offer customers the fastest mobile broadband speeds in Malta. From download speeds of up to 7.2Mbps Vodafone's network is now reaching speeds of up to 14.4Mbps.
The upgrade will be implemented nationwide by mid-2010, putting Vodafone at the forefront in HSDPA network speeds.
With this improvement, Vodafone is now operating on an environment-friendly net-work that is 20 per cent more efficient.
The company completed the upgrade of its radio network with its technology partner Nokia Siemens Networks, introducing HSUPA technology.
Vodafone is now the first network operator in Malta to roll out a technology that supports faster uploading speeds and higher data speeds for the future with speeds of up to 2Mbps.

I presume the last figure should read 28Mbps and not 2.
(no connection with Vodafone)
