New sponsors for Maltese rugby refs

Gasan Enterprises Ltd is to sponsor the shirts of Maltese rugby referees.

The distinctive yellow shirts of the officials will now display the Mazda logo on the front for the duration of a two-year agreement.

Marius Ciavola, Sales and Marketing Manager at Gasan Enterprises, recently presented one of the new shirts to Malta Rugby Football Union president Martin Galea at the MRFU's premises in Marsa.

Galea thanked Gasan Enterprises for the additional sponsorship on top of the company's backing of the national team and the use of a Mazda 5.

"This sponsorship will enable Maltese referees to embark on exchange visits with their counterparts in England, Scotland and Italy in the coming months.

"Such initiatives will surely improve the standard of our officials," he said.
