Man, 28, critically injured after Paceville fight
A 28-year-old man from San Gwann is in critical condition after having suffered head injuries during a fight in Paceville.
The police said they were alerted at 6 a.m. today that there was a man on the ground in St George's Road.
Preliminary investigations showed that the man had been involved in an argument and he fell to the ground, hurting his head.
The man was taken to hospital in an ambulance and it was initially thought that his injuries were slight.
However at about 10 a.m. the police were informed that the man was in danger of dying.
Magistrate Miriam Hayman appointed court experts to assist her in an inquiry. Police investigations are continuing.

Quote: "Police investigations are continuing."
The current policy adopted by the police force is illogical. It is useless to investigate now: after the deed was consumed, there is no way of undoing it, especially, if the victim remains disabled for the rest of his life.
I am in a similar situation, whereby, a relative is threatening me, sometimes even to kill me, and obviously, I have no rights of protection by the barbaric laws of this country. The astounding argument is that, for me to have protection by the court, first I must be a victim of this homo neanderthalensis, then I will be eligible to be protected!
So, Mr. Courts of (In)Justice, first I must be butchered by this moron, then I will have the right of protection!
VERY INTELLIGENT INDEED!!!
PS:
The police is so naive to the extent that it pretends that aggressors are so stupid as to make reporting them easy: they haven't discovered yet that there are subtle ways to make threats! This is utterly, ridiculous!

Well said Mr. Bartolo.
But then again, we're in Malta.

@ Edward Bartolo
All you have to do is take this person to court and upon finding the guilt the court will protect you. You do not need to spend money on a court case, just report to the police and ask to arraign this person for threats and they will. Easy as that!
