A police patrol which went to the aid of a motorist ended up finding 15 packets of cocaine last night.

The police said the case happened at Mdina Road, Qormi at about 2.15 a.m. The police mobile patrol saw the parked car with two people in it and stopped to give assistance when oil was seen leaking from the vehicle.

As the policemen spoke to the two persons in the car, their behaviour raised suspicion. The car was then searched and 15 packets of cocaine were found.

A 22-year-old man from Siggiewi is expected to be arraigned in the coming days. Investigations are continuing.
